Jaroslav Sladek

Originally from the Czech Republic, I moved to the United States in 2018 and have since been living in San Francisco. My passion for architecture has been a defining aspect of my life, as evidenced by my involvement with the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and the AIA San Francisco. I served as the Chapter President of AIAS from September 2022 to September 2023, followed by a term as Past President until January 2024. Additionally, I've been an active Student Affiliate at AIA San Francisco since January 2023. My commitment to student interests and advocacy within these organizations has been a cornerstone of my journey.

A significant highlight was receiving a Studio Award in Studio 8 for a project that was displayed at the university's Spring Show in 2019. This achievement underscores my dedication to and skill in architectural design.

Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I have a deep love for cycling which allows me to explore and connect with my environment in a unique way.

My journey, from the Czech Republic to San Francisco, and my active engagement in student representation and architectural excellence, reflect my passion for design and community involvement.
