Tawnia Quick
Highly motivated and curious horticulturalist and ecological garden designer with over 10 years working in California landscapes is looking to gain employment at a collaborative work environment, seeking to build on her skills in site planning, native and drought tolerant design, and regionally specific and ecologically sustaniable solutions to the outdoor built environment.
Rethinking the concept of rural housing, this project asked us to revitalize the dilapidated Cascina Lossano, located in the agricultural Po Valley region of Italy, into a vibrant live/work space for the artist. Seeking to create a site that fed the creative environment and fostered community, I wanted this space to not only showcase the region's rich artisan and agricultural history to tourists and locals alike but also be an incubator for new artists wanting to immerse themselves in the varied crafts supported on-site.
